The annual UCI The Better Communication Competition is the oldest awards program for utility communicators. Judged by peers, the BCC is a very prestigious competition which draws entries from many utilities of all sizes. The many categories cover most all aspects of utility communications.

More information on the upcoming June National Conference

We are busy lining up and confirming speakers and programs for the upcoming UCI National Conference. The conference will be held June 10 - 12 at the Trump International Beach Resort in Miami Beach.

We hope you will join us to learn and network. We will be learning about how some progressive utilities are using social media and the web to communicate with their customers and stakeholders. A speaker from FORBES will share the national picture for utilities in today's world, and we plan several panels on issues of import to us all.

Call for white papers

UCI is calling for White Papers from industry professionals to be considered for publishing and presentation purposes. UCI is interested in case studies based on communcation issues, safetey or marketing. Selected papers could be published in the organizations newsletters or be presented by the author at an upcoming workshop or live webinar. The 2009 Better Communication Contest is coming!!

The Better Communication Competition is the oldest awards program for utility communicators. Judged by peers, the BCC is a very prestigious competition which draws entries from many utilities of all sizes. The many categories cover most all aspects of utility communications.

In early spring, the call-for-entries is issued. The entries are sent to various groups of judges, all members of UCI, and they select the winners in each catergory. These winners are honored and presented with their awards at the gala BCC reception during the June UCI Annual Conference.
